Billionaire investor/trader Arthur Hayes says the bottom is in for this cycle and predicts a $1 million Bitcoin. Is he right?
In this article, we will analyze this and see if any of what he’s saying is true. Below is a picture of Arthur Hayes, co-owner of Bitmex.

In a Yahoo article published on May 7th, 2026, Arthur Hayes says the worst of the correction is over. He states 60k was the market cycle bottom. He goes on to say we’re not going to visit 30k. Here’s a link to the article for more information on what he says.
Arthur Hayes Says 1 Million Dollar Bitcoin
Although I can’t prove him wrong right now. A $1 million Bitcoin is mathematically impossible for the next cycle. Bitcoin’s market cap would have to reach $20 trillion. During the last bull run, Bitcoin’s market cap reached 2.5 trillion. For Bitcoin to reach $1 million, the market cap would need to be 8x its last high.

With Bitcoin’s diminishing returns per cycle, we will not see these numbers. Once Bitcoin does find its bottom this cycle, I will put out a projection for the next top. In the meantime, I can assure you it will not be 1 million dollars. Why people say outlandish stuff like this, I don’t know.
Hayes Also Says the Bottom Is In
Here’s proof that Arthur Hayes has already been proven wrong in a month of saying the Bitcoin bottom was already in at 60k.

This chart shows that Bitcoin has recently dropped past what Hayes said would be the bottom. On June 5th, Bitcoin had already dropped to 59k.
Influencers
I post these kinds of things to show you. This stuff is never-ending with crypto. Never follow the herd. Smart traders never fall for this stuff. Don’t follow the influencers. Separate yourself, and trust in the charts and technical analysis.
It’s funny watching people like this because when it turns out they’re wrong, they just move the goal post.
Honestly, as history plays out, I’m 100% positive everything he stated will turn out to not be true. Let this be a lesson in how you absorb crypto information when making investment decisions.
